JV Lacrosse

I was introduced to lacrosse several years ago and it has become one of my favorite sports to shoot. I’m still learning the game, but I like the fast-paced action and all the contact. Here’s a few action shots from a jv game I covered recently. Continue Reading →

Chesapeake Bay

As the school year begins, our senior season is still in full swing. For our beach sessions, we like to shoot on the Chesapeake Bay, off of Shore Dr. This was the sunset during our senior session with Megan, from Kempsville. Check back later for a quick look at some of Megan’s senior photos.

Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene traveled through this past weekend. It was a crazy time preparing for the worst and then waiting it out. Fortunately for us, we were just fine and didn’t even lose power. Others weren’t so lucky. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost loved ones and whose homes are damaged.

Now we have to reschedule all our senior sessions that were cancelled due to the weather. And, hopefully I can get back to updating the blog more regularly.

Here’s a photograph from one our recent trash the dress sessions. The waves off of the Chesapeake Bay are never like this, but they provided a nice backdrop.

Senior Session Spectator

Since there are so many beaches around us, most of our seniors like going to the beach for their senior session. They really love our sunset photos.

During most sessions off the Chesapeake Bay, we see crabs scurrying around, in and out of their holes. During this one session, we found this one crab that was just watching us as we were taking pictures. I was able to capture the image using my 70-200 2.8. Since then, we’ve never seen another one that would stand around and watch. Interesting . . .
