We took our 2016 senior models from Grassfield for a fun-filled afternoon at the beach. The girls were amazing and we had a blast. We’re still looking for a few more 2016 senior models Continue Reading →
We started off Sami’s senior session at a little park in Virginia Beach (near Dam Neck Rd). Fortunately, Sami didn’t slip and fall into the water. We took a bunch of pictures and watched the baby ducks for while, before heading to the beach. Our beach session was held at Seashore State Park (First Landing). We had a blast during our session and captured some great video of Sami. Take a look at some of Sami’s pictures and don’t forget to watch her music video at the bottom of the post.
We had a great time with Merissa and her mom during her photo session. We started the shoot in Norfolk, near Harbor Park. After capturing some great images, we headed over to Shore Dr. We ended our sesson at Seashore State Park (First Landing) and we had a nice sunset for our beach photos. Take a look at a few of Merissa’s photos and don’t forget to watch the video at the bottom of the post.
Morgan is my first senior from Grassfield. She came with her mom (Luree) on the shoot and they were both great to work with. We had a blast during our sessions.
For the first session, we went to downtown Norfolk. We started under I264, near Harbor Park, then headed to the Oriental Gardens. If you’ve never been there, you should visit. It’s small, but it’s peaceful and very pretty. After getting some great pictures, we lost the light and decided to continue the shoot another day.
A few weeks later, we went to First Landing State Park (Seashore State Park) for the second part of the session. We decided to try a ‘trash the dress’ session with Morgan and her good friend Brittney. It was a lot of fun. So many people stopped their boats to watch our session. I’m sure it must have looked strange to see two girls posing in the water wearing gowns. We captured some really great images using some off camera flash.
I’ve included some pictures from both sessions below and don’t forget to watch the music video. Let me know what you think.
I’ve been so busy with my senior sessions that I’ve haven’t been able to keep up with my blog posts. The 2010 senior season is off to a great start. I’ve been shooting almost everyday and I’ve had some really great photo shoots. Now that school is about to start, hopefully I can get caught up on all my posts.
Megan, a cheerleader at Kellam, is one of my senior models. We had a great time during our session and it was fun getting to know her and her mom.
We started off in Norfolk, near Harbor Park. Once the traffic through the downtown tunnel died down, we headed over to Portsmouth. We were able to get some good train shots over there. When we were done, we headed back to Norfolk. We stopped at the Half Moone Cruise Center, before ending the night at the pier at Nauticus.
Take a look at some of the photos from our session and don’t forget to watch the video slideshow at the bottom of the post.
Lizzy, a 2010 senior, is my first senior from Cape Henry Academy. Tyler and I met Lizzy and her aunt at the old Duck Inn Restaurant. This is one of my favorite places to shoot. It offers a little bit of everything at one location. She brought a bunch of different outfits and we tried to get them all in during the shoot.
We had a lot of fun during the session and captured some great shots. Take a look at a few of them below. There are some additional photos in my facebook galleries. Don’t forget to watch her video slideshow and leave a comment. Thanks for visiting.
I’ve been out on location shooting so much lately, I’ve fallen a little behind in my blog posts. I usually post a few sneak peeks on facebook & myspace within a day or two of the session (FB & Myspace pages can be found under the ‘links’ button). Once I’ve processed the photos and created the video, then I’ll post about that particular shoot.
We had a great shoot with Rachel around the downtown Norfolk area. After starting out around Harbor Park, we headed towards Town Point Park. As always, we started walking and found a few awesome new spots. We had a blast with Rachel, a 2010 senior from Kempsville High School, and her mom. Rachel is a cheerleader and track athlete. She also cheers with FAME. It was fun talking with her mom about the contrasts I was trying to create between Rachel’s various outfits and the urban, edgy look of downtown. We did have the strange smells around the water taxi area, so we didn’t stay there long. We had a good laugh as Rachel’s mom was joking about her finding a place to change around the Half Moone Cruise Center. We finished up at the pier near Nauticus as the sun was going down.
We had a great time and a lot of laughs during the shoot and created some outstanding images. Be sure to check out her video slideshow at the bottom of the post. Feel free to leave a comment to let me know what you think. Enjoy.
Back in May, I posted several images from the session we had with Vera, a rising senior at Kempsville. It was a fun shoot and it was also different in that her boyfriend, Jaime, came along and we were able to get some photos of the two of them together.
When Jaime wasn’t in the photos, he helped out by filming some behind the scenes video footage for me. With my primitive editing skills, I was able to throw together a short video of a photo session.
In addition to the behind the scenes video, I’ve also posted the video slideshow that was missing from the original post. Enjoy the photos and feel free to leave a comment.
