We had a blast with Christy (Atlantic Shores ’13) during her recent senior studio session. Like many of my seniors, I first photographed Christy when she played varsity softball for the Seahawks. I took the opportunity to play with some new backgrounds & studio lights. We look forward to her senior session in a few months and I know we’ll capture some great photos at the beach. Keli is my 1st senior from Indian River for the class of 2013. We had fun during her studio session (don’t we always?). We had Lexie, a 2013 senior from Indian River, and her mom into the studio recently. We discussed our senior model program and had a short studio session. We had a blast with the two of them. Lexie was a lot of fun and we’re looking forward to her senior session in a few months. We’ll capture some great sunset images at the beach. Be sure to check back later for more of Lexie’s photos.

I happened to be at an Apple store a few weeks ago and while I was waiting for help, I thought I’d pull up my blog on an iMac. I was suprised to see that the photo slideshow for several posts weren’t showing up. There was just one photo per post. I’ve spent the past week or so trying to figure out how to make the blog mac friendly. Hopefully, from now on, all the photos for each post will be able to be seen. I was introduced to lacrosse several years ago and it has become one of my favorite sports to shoot. I’m still learning the game, but I like the fast-paced action and all the contact. Here’s a few action shots from a jv game I covered recently.

My second 2013 senior from Great Bridge is Caitlin. Caitlin, also a cheerleader for the Wildcats, heard about our studio and senior photography from Saxon.

As with most of our senior models, Caitlin came over with her mom to learn more about our senior spokesmodel program and to have her studio session. Despite some technical difficulties with the studio lights, we took some great photos of Caitlin. She also brought her formal gown that she wore last week to her ring dance. It was a pleasure working with both of them.

Daylight savings time is this weekend and with the warmer weather, it won’t be long before we get to shoot outside again. We can’t wait for beach weather and some amazing sunsets.

Our first 2013 senior spokesmodel to step foot into the studio is Saxon, from Great Bridge. Saxon will be the 2nd senior who had an older sibling who used us for their senior portraits. We photographed her brother Zach (Class of 2012), also from Great Bridge.

We had a great time with Saxon and her mom as we shot her studio session. Since we’ve worked with her before, we know we’ll get some fantastic images during her senior session later this year. As we get closer to wrapping up our 2012 seniors, we are looking ahead to our next group of seniors – the class of 2013.

Our 2013 senior models help spread the word about our studio to their friends and other 2013 seniors, while earning discounts & incentives on their session fees and portrait order. In addition to their senior session, our senior models get a fun, group session at the beach with their friends.

One of our first 2013 senior models is Sarah, from Kellam. Sarah came to the studio last week. We were able to meet her mom, discuss more about the model program and we ended the day with our short studio session. She was so much fun to work with. We’re looking forward to her senior session later this year. I’ve posted a few of Sarah’s photos below.

One of my 2012 seniors is Taylor, from Kempsville. As with many of my seniors, I first photographed Taylor playing sports. The sport of choice is softball. I’ve taken action shots from rec league to travel ball to varsity. After all these years, I’m priviledged to be Taylor’s senior photographer.

For Taylor’s session, we started of at the Botanical Gardens and finished at the beach with a great sunset. We had a fun time during her session. I’ve posted an action shot from the 2011 spring season, as well as some of Taylor’s senior pictures and storyboard.

When I’m not out on the field photographing varsity sports or shooting the next group of seniors, I like to shoot with models. Whether it’s an experienced model or someone new to modeling looking to start their portfolio, it’s always a lot of fun. We get to try different concepts and some of the outfits/shoes are really great.

Here is an image from a recent photo session with Loren. We had a lot of fun during her studio session. For the cool effect in her eyes, I used a ring light. More photos of Loren will be posted in her own Facebook gallery on my profile page.
