Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene traveled through this past weekend. It was a crazy time preparing for the worst and then waiting it out. Fortunately for us, we were just fine and didn’t even lose power. Others weren’t so lucky. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost loved ones and whose homes are damaged.

Now we have to reschedule all our senior sessions that were cancelled due to the weather. And, hopefully I can get back to updating the blog more regularly.

Here’s a photograph from one our recent trash the dress sessions. The waves off of the Chesapeake Bay are never like this, but they provided a nice backdrop.

Senior Session Spectator

Since there are so many beaches around us, most of our seniors like going to the beach for their senior session. They really love our sunset photos.

During most sessions off the Chesapeake Bay, we see crabs scurrying around, in and out of their holes. During this one session, we found this one crab that was just watching us as we were taking pictures. I was able to capture the image using my 70-200 2.8. Since then, we’ve never seen another one that would stand around and watch. Interesting . . .

New 10×20 Storyboard

Here’s an example of our new 10×20 storyboard design. It’s more colorful than our previous design and I think our seniors will love it. What do you think?

There are only 5 days left in August that are available for your photo session. CONTACT DAN to schedule your session or connect with DAN on Facebook. Once those days are filled, then we’ll start scheduling into September. The summer is flying by so fast.
